Pondscape (NL) - Card game

Pondscape

Create a lively pond in Pondscape, a strategic card game bringing together frogs, water and insects. Choose cards from an open market and carefully add them to your own pond. Each frog species has its own needs: fulfil them and form groups to make your pond increasingly valuable.

The central jumping frog adds another element to consider. All players influence its actions and compete to collect insects for bonuses in the final scoring. You can also place cards face down as water, giving you different ways to shape your pond around your plans.

Key Features:

• Build your own pond: Combine cards depicting frog species and pond landscapes into a personal playing area.
• Open card market: Choose cards that support the development of your pond.
• Different frog species: Meet their individual needs to earn points.
• Form groups: Larger groups of the same frog species can provide greater rewards.
• Central jumping frog: Join your opponents in influencing the frog that hunts insects and other food.
• Water and insects: Place cards face down as water and collect insects for endgame bonuses.
• Solo or multiplayer: For one to four players, with approximately thirty minutes of play and Dutch-language rules.

Why Choose Pondscape?

Pondscape combines a peaceful nature theme with engaging decisions. You want to bring suitable frogs together, fulfil their needs and benefit from collecting insects. This keeps your attention on both your personal pond and a shared game element.

The game suits players who enjoy laying cards, forming groups and developing their own playing area. Its short playing time makes it easy to fit in a game, while the solo option lets you tackle the puzzle on your own. With every card, your pond grows into a reflection of your choices.
