In Cubirds (official title: CuBirds), you compete to build the most impressive collection of quirky, cube-shaped birds. Four rows of bird cards lie in the centre of the table; on your turn you play all cards of one bird species from your hand to one row, trying to surround matching birds and pick up the cards in between. Then you can turn cards from your hand into flocks, adding birds permanently to your scoring area. Be the first to either collect seven different species or two species with at least three identical birds each and you win. Cubirds is a fast, tactical set-collection card game for 2–5 players aged 8 and up, playing in about 20 minutes and winner of the Dutch Game of the Year – Family 2021.
